Graduate Admissions

Application deadline is February 15, 2012.

Deciding on a graduate program will be one of the most important decisions that you will ever make. Here at the School of Social Work, we are proud of our MSW program and hope that you find answers to most of your questions as you look over our web site.

We welcome your questions; you may email the Director of Recruitment and Admissions or call (309) 438-5005.

The Master of Social Work program consists of 60 semester hours of classroom study and field education. Students admitted to the program with a BSW from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited school are eligible for advanced standing and take 36 hours of coursework.

Although the school values life experience, academic credit cannot be granted for non-academic activity.

The School of Social Work is a welcoming community of learning and embraces diversity. We encourage applications from students regardless of race, class, culture, religious background, and social economic status.
