Social Work Day 2017

Shaping the Narrative: Social Work Action for Engaged Citizenship

March 27, 2017 from 8:15AM to 4:00PM in the Illinois State University Alumni Center

Shaping the Narrative: Social Work Action for Engaged Citizenship hopes to be a vehicle for helping social service providers move forward. We recognize that many conference attendees need grounding for these uncertain times, as an antidote to animus of the day and as a force for continuing to do good.

Keynote Speaker: Chad Broughton: University of Chicago in the Public Policy Studies in the College and author of Boom, Bust, Exodus: The Rust Belt, the Maquilas, and a Tale of Two Cities and contributor to The Atlantic

Conference is free to attend. 6 hours of Social Work Continuing Education Units (CEUs) of which 2 of the hours qualify for Cultural Competency will be available for a fee of $50.00. Current Illinois State University Social Work Field Instructors for the school year of Fall16-Spring17 qualify to have this fee waived.
