Field Education

Field education allows you to apply what you learn in the classroom to real-world situations. You will collaborate with and learn alongside social work professionals as you deepen your understanding of the field.

Explore Your Options

We partner with many organizations across the community to offer a wide range of practicum learning opportunities. Because availability can vary from year to year, placements are secured through a collaborative process between students and the Director of Field Education.

Students will receive additional information about the placement process through a program presentation.

    Field manuals contain essential information for field education, including the policies, procedures, forms, and assignments that guide placements.

  • Sonia Live

    The Field Education Program uses Sonia Live to manage and track student field placements. This web-based data management system contains placement information, required forms, timesheets, learning contracts, and evaluations.

    Access to Sonia is granted by the Director of Field Education.
